How It Works
The STEAM Challenge is broken down into 7 key steps:
Assemble a team of 4-6 participants & register here!
Using Autodesk Fusion 360 (or other CAD Softwares), design your car.
With your completed 3D drawings, begin production of your car by using Computer Aided Manufacturing - CNC, 3D Printing, etc.
Put your prototypes to the test by using 3D simulation and Wind Tunnel machine.
Pitch your team to potential sponsors and partners to raise funds for marketing - Team Jerseys, Booth, etc.
Submit your race cars for inspection.
Every milimeter and every gram matters here!
All your hardwork in designing and manufacturing the cars comes down to this. Race against each other in an epic 2-day battle of reaction speeds!

National Stem & Innovative Design Challenge (NSIDC)
The STEAM Challenge (previously known as Cabaran Stem), was launched by Ministry of Education in 2012 under the title of NSIDC - National STEM and Innovative Design Challenge.

The STEAM Challenge is an experiental learning program that connects academic content to professional skills.
Our objective is to provide students with a platform for them to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting in order to understand the value of skills.

The STEAM Challenge is derived from F1 in Schools, a global STEM competition.
By utilizing design and production processes that mimic real-life Formula 1, Students are to produce miniature cars through the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) equipment.
Spanning an age range of 9 to 19, our main objective is to help change the perceptions of science, technology, engineering and maths by creating a fun and exciting learning environment for young people to develop an informed view about careers in engineering, science, marketing and technology.
